Grant Determination

Grant applications will be reviewed by the grant committee.  Final determinations are based, in part, on the information submitted in the Applicant Questionnaire,  the amount of coverage the applicant receives through insurance and other programs versus the amount of out-of-pocket monthly therapy expenses the applicant’s family is expected to pay, and subject to the availability of funds in the specific therapy fund the request is being made.  The financial income of the family is not considered for grant determination.

Therapy Funds

Donors are allowed to make donations to specific therapy funds.  “Unspecified” donations are placed into the General Therapy Fund which may be used for any approved therapy intervention.  Foundation fundraising proceeds are equally distributed to the approved therapy funds.  A one percent administration fee is subtracted from all “Unspecified” donations and Foundation fundraising proceeds and placed into the Administration Fund.  The Administration Fund is used for the operating expenses of The ISAAC Foundation.  All individuals working for, or on behalf of, The ISAAC Foundation are volunteers.  This ensures that the donations received by The ISAAC Foundation are strictly used for assisting families with therapy needs and for the daily operating expenses of running the foundation.   The Therapy Funds include:

Speech Therapy Fund

Occupational Therapy Fund

Physical Therapy Fund

Hippotherapy (Horse PT/OT) Fund

DIR (Floortime) Fund

RDI (Relationship Development Intervention) Fund

ABA (Behavioral) Fund

Interactive Metronome Fund

Therapeutic Listening Fund

Service Animal Fund

Program Coordinator Fund

Graduate Student Aid Fund

General Therapy Fund

Payment of Therapy Intervention Services

Once a grant has been awarded and accepted, payment of the grant will be issued monthly to the provider rendering the therapy service upon receipt of an itemized billing statement.  Itemized billing statements received prior to the 15th day of each month will be distributed by the 20th day of each month .  Billing statements received after the 15th day of each month will be paid by the 20th day of the next month.  Payments will be issued to the therapy provider until the amount of the grant award has been exhausted.  At that time, all remaining therapy expenses outstanding become the responsibility of the applicant’s parent or guardian.  Itemization of grant disbursements will be e-mailed to parent/guardian and provider monthly.
